Colon football beats Martin 56-12 in Regional Championship
(COLON) – A big second half propelled the host and No. 2 Colon football team to a 56-12 win over No. 9 Martin in their 8 Man Regional Championship game. Phillip Alva had 11 carries for 99 yards and 4 touchdowns for the host Magi. ...... {LISTEN}. He was also 4 of 5 for 61 yards and 2 more scores. Brandon Crawford had 22 carries for 149 yards and a score. Jonathan West had 2 receptions for 28 yards and a TD while Austin Stoll had a 23 yard reception and a touchdown. Caiden Carver had 13 tackles for the Colon defense while Kaleb Johnson had 8 tackles and Ian Eells had 7 tackles. Colon is now 11-0 and will host the defending 8 Man Division 1 State Champions and No. 5 ranked Morrice Orioles (10-1) in a State Semi-Final game on Saturday.
