(HARPER CREEK) – The Sturgis girls swimming and diving team finished 8th at the SCC Championship meet, hosted by Harper Creek. Over the weekend, the Lady Trojans has 17 career best individual swims and 5 season best individual swims on Friday alone. On Friday, Katie Strawser had career best times in the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. After swimming the events on Saturday, Strawser finished sixth in both events on Saturday and earned All League Honors in each of them. In addition, Laci Gottschalk finished fifth overall in the diving competition for the weekend. Overall, the A 200 medley relay team made up of Randi Boland, Gottschalk, Strawser and Teagan Bush, finished 11th in a season best time. The A and B 400 relay teams did well. The A relay finished 11th and the B Relay was 13th.
