(UNDATED) – The Sturgis varsity cross country teams were in action over the weekend. The Lady Trojans beat Gull Lake 15-44. Meah Yunker and Paityn Modert finished first and second respectively for Sturgis. Modert along with teammates Makaya Stiles, AnnaBell Pant and Brenda Garcia Lopez all had lifetime best races. The Sturgis boys went 1-1, beating Gull Lake 15-40, but losing to Three Rivers 25-22. Tremaine Brown of Sturgis finished first while teammate Matt Toner was second in a lifetime best time. Zachary Green of Sturgis also had a lifetime best time. Three Rivers was led by Tyler Norton and Alexander Benthin, who finished third and fourth, respectively.
