Tigers place Ian Kinsler on waivers
Friday Aug 11, 2017 12:00am

(DETROIT) - The Detroit Tigers reportedly have placed second baseman Ian Kinsler on revocable trade waivers. According to tweets by Foxsports.com reporter Ken Rosenthal, Kinsler's waivers expired at 1 PM Thursday. If he is claimed, teams would have 48 hours to work out a deal, but the Tigers also could pull him back. Rosenthal reported the Milwaukee Brewers are interested in Kinsler, but that they are on one of the 10 teams on his no-trade list. Kinsler, according to Rosenthal, would have to pass through the entire American League and every National League team behind the Brewers for Milwaukee to claim him. Per Rosenthal, Kinsler is owed a little more than $3 million for the rest of this season, plus a $10-million club option or $5 million buyout for 2018.
