Burr Oak boys fall to Howardsville in District finals
(MARTIN) – The season came to an end for the Burr Oak boys basketball team as they fell to Howardsville Christian 69-43 in their Class D District championship game. The Bobcats got down early and tried their best, but just couldn't come back. Zach Boyd led Burr Oak with 17 points. Braxton Hernandez had 8 points and Victor Carter added 9 points. Dylan Jergens led Howardsville Christian and all scorers with 30 points to go along with 11 assists and 9 rebounds. Logan Cornwell had 11 points and 6 rebounds and David Cripps had 8 points and 3 rebounds. Burr Oak ends the season at 9-13 while Howardsville is now 19-5 and will take on No. 17 Wyoming Potter's House in a Regional semifinal game Monday at Climax-Scotts.
