Westview captures 2A Regional title, beating Andrean 59-55 in title game

(NORTH JUDSON) – No. 2 Westview captured a 2A Regional basketball championship on Saturday, beating F.W. Canterbury 61-41 in the semifinals and then getting a 59-55 win over No. 18 Adrean in the championship. In the semifinals, Westview was led by Nick Rensberger with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Elijah Hales had 14 points and 8 rebounds and 4 assists while Charlie Yoder had 14 points. In the Regional finals, Yoder had 21 points and 8 rebounds for Westview. Josh Hostetler added 19 points and 3 rebounds while Elijah Hales had 14 points, 9 assists and 3 rebounds. The Warriors improve to 28-1 and will take on No. 8 Oak Hill in the 2A Semi-states at Huntington North Saturday night at 6 PM.
