(STEVENSVILLE) – The No. 13 ranked Sturgis baseball team saw their season come to an end Saturday, as they lost to host and No. 12 ranked Stevensville-Lakeshore 6-1 in a Division 2 Regional semifinal game. The contest was delayed by rain and lightning for an hour and 15 minutes as the Trojans were coming to bat in the bottom of the secong inning. Sturgis had trouble getting hits off Lakeshore's Connor Brawley, who had 6 strike outs and made Sturgis hit a lot of pop outs. Brecken Stewart started on the mound for Sturgis, striking out four in five innings. He also drove in the Trojans' lone run of the game. Sturgis ends their season at 24-7. Lakeshore would go on to win the Regional Championship, beating Marshall 2-0. Marshal beat Otsego in the other semifinal game 4-0.
