Sturgis Neighborhood Program Community Clean Up Day

The Sturgis Neighborhood Program is holding a Community Clean Up Day! It will take place on Saturday, October 19th from 8 a.m. until noon, or until dumpsters are full, at the City of Sturgis DPS Building, 805 N. Centreville Road in Sturgis. Here's how it works; bring your unwanted household items for FREE disposal. First come, first serve. You MUST be a resident of the City of Sturgis and provide proof of address. The following items are NOT allowed:
-Toxic/hazardous chemicals
-Batteries
-Freezers, refrigerators, A/C units
-Paint or paint cans
-Used motor oil and filters
-Tires
-Construction materials
-Yard waste
In addition, the Sturgis Neighborhood Program is looking for volunteers to help at the event. If you would like to help please contact them at info@sturgisneighborhoodprogram.org. All volunteers must be 18 or older by the day of the event. Each volunteer will also receive a free t-shirt and lunch provided by Brewhouse BBQ. Volunteers should arrive at the site by 8:30 a.m. This event is brought to you in part by The St. Joseph County United Way, Legacy Roll-Off Container Services, LLC., and the City of Sturgis.
