(COLDWATER) – A Three Rivers man facing multiple charges has had his case bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.

According to Branch County District Court personnel, 56 year old Arnold Wright waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday morning. He was arrested by Michigan State Police March 15 following a traffic stop just north of Coldwater, when troopers found drugs and weapons in his automobile.

Wright is charged with six weapons charges, possession of meth and third degree fleeing and eluding. The Branch County Prosecutor's Office also filed a fourth time habitual offender sentencing enhancement if Wright is convicted.

Troopers say when they searched his vehicle, they found a small bag that contained methamphetamine. They also found a loaded magazine for a 9 mm hand gun, the hand gun along with a taser and brass knuckles.

Wright is scheduled to be arraigned April 26 in Circuit Court.
