SHS Holds Graduation For Class of 2021

(STURGIS) – It was back to a normal graduation ceremony Sunday for the Sturgis High School Class of 2021.

After COVID-19 forced a change in graduation plans in 2020, the 2021 ceremony was held outside at the Sturgis High School football field. That allowed for parents and family members to attend and for the graduating students to all be together.

Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert says with information to easy to access, he hopes the Class of 2021 explores and investigates what they hear and see to make sure it is accurate. ...... {LISTEN}.

Senior class speaker Amy Chen spoke to her classmates about author J.K. Rowling and how she had her book idea rejected several times before someone said yes. Chen challenged her fellow graduates to never give up on their dreams. ...... {LISTEN}.

In addition to being the class speaker, Chen was also named the Senior Of The Year for her accomplishments both in and out of the classroom.
