(KENDALLVILLE) – The Kendallville Police Department is asking the public for information regarding a fire earlier in the week.

Kendallville Police Chief Lance Waters says the Kendallville Fire Department were called at 2:40 AM Monday to a house in the 2100 block of Del Norte Street. The fire was put out quickly, and contained to a small, outside portion of the home. The family was inside, but got out of the house safely.

Waters says the investigators believe that the fire may have been set intentionally due to the lack of non-incendiary causes in or around the house. Evidence from the house is still being looked at.

If anyone has information about this fire, they can call the Kendallville Police Department at 260-347-0654.
