(THREE RIVERS) – Three Rivers has a new varsity girls basketball coach. Athletic Director Matt Stofer says they have hired Josh Holman to take over the program, following the announcement that Jason Bingaman was stepping down, after he was hired to be the new Three Rivers Middle School Principal. Holman played basketball at Mattawan High School and Olivet College before transferring to and graduating from Western Michigan University. He previously served as the boys basketball coach at Lawton High School and Bloomingdale High School. For the last six years he has been the girls varsity basketball coach at Allegan High School. Holman says he is very excited and can't wait to meet the student-athletes. Holman says he hopes to build on the strong tradition and culture that Coach Bingaman has already accomplished. Stofer says Holman, like Coach Bingaman, understands the importance of the middle school and youth programs.
