(HOWARD TOWNSHIP) – A one vehicle, roll over accident sent a Dowagiac man to the hospital.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department was called out just before 11 PM Friday for an accident that happened in Howard Township. Investigators determined that 41 year old Robert Foreman was driving north on M-51 near the intersection of Maple Street. Foreman left the road, hit and embankment and rolled his vehicle.

Foreman was ejected from the automobile. He was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital by SMCAS Ambulance to be treated for his injuries.

Deputies say Foreman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which is still under investigation. Assisting were the Howard Township Fire Department and the Pokagon Tribal Police.
