(STURGIS) – The Sturgis Board of Education has been presented with the budget for the 2021-2022 school year.

During a recent Board meeting, Director of Finance Ray Sterling shared the budget with the Board members, starting with the per pupil foundation funding allowance Sturgis Schools will be receiving. ...... {LISTEN}.

However, Sterling says the Sturgis School District is going to see a reduction in revenue for the upcoming school year. ...... {LISTEN}.

Sterling says the District is also waiting to hear from the State on some revenues matters, which they hope to find out about in the very near future. When they get those final numbers, they should offset those lost revenue figures.

The Board of Education will review the proposed budget and be asked to approve it during this afternoon's meeting, which will start at 5:30 PM in the Board Room of the Sturgis Central Commons.
