(STURGIS TOWNSHIP) – One person received minor injuries in a two vehicle crash in Sturgis Township.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to the area of South M-66 and Bogen Road just before 11 AM Saturday to investigate a multiple vehicle crash.

Investigators say 26 year old Daniel Haney of LaGrange was driving in the northbound lane of M-66 and stopped for a vehicle that was turning left in front of him onto Bogen Road. His truck was rear ended by an SUV, driven by 53 year old Nannette Schroeder of Sturgis.

Deputies say Schroeder was treated at the scene and cleared by Life Care Ambulance. The Tri Township Fire Department was also called out to assist.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and the air bags in both vehicles activated.
