(LAGRANGE TOWNSHIP) – Authorities say speed was a factor in a one vehicle crash that happened in Cass County's LaGrange Township.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department says 52 year old John Freshour of Nappanee, Indiana was driving south on Dailey Road, south of Beeson Road at 7:24 PM Sunday. Deputies say Freshour lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and overturned several times before striking a pole and a tree.

Freshour was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Dowagiac Police Department, the Pokagon Band Tribal Police Department, the Central Cass Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance.
