Elkhart County Sheriff's Office To Close Corrections Lobby

(ELKHART) – The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office has announced that they are closing down their Corrections Lobby until further notice.

Sheriff Jeff Siegel says effect Friday, January 14, the lobby will be closed, and the general public will not be allowed inside the Corrections Facility. This is being done for the safety of the Department's staff and the community, due to COVID-19.

For assistance you can call 574-891-2100, Option 1. The Sheriff Office staff will assist you in determining whether an appointment is needed or if your request can be processed via fax or e-mail.

Family and friends who wish to visit an inmate can go on line. Click Here.

If you wish to place money on an inmate's account you can go on line as well.
Click Here.

Professionals who wish to visit with an inmate electronically can call Captain David Lanzen at 574-891-2100.

Siegel says a follow up announcement will be provided when the Corrections lobby re-opens to the general public. He says the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office greatly appreciates the community's flexibility and continued support
