City Commission Sets Public Hearing For Budget Presentation

(STURGIS) – The Sturgis City Commission has set a date for a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2023 budget.
The Commission held a work session Wednesday afternoon to wrap up the budget. Then during their regular meeting, Sturgis City Manager Mike Hughes gave an overview of the budget’s general fund. ...... {LISTEN}.
Several capital items will be funded out of the General Fund, including police and fire department; parks, downtown parking lots and the expansion of the White Elephant retention basin. Capital outlays will be just under $2.5 million for the General Fund.
The City Commission will hold a public hearing on the budget during their meeting on August 10.
