The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department says 17 year old Jordan Collyer of Topeka was driving his car south on State Road 5 at 3:43 PM Saturday and was making a left hand turn onto County Road 700 South. Deputies say Collyer turned in front of a northbound vehicle, driven by 31 year old Carli Bushong of Ligonier and struck the passenger side of her car.

Collyer along with one of his passengers, 15 year old Kyle Miller of Ligonier, were taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital. Sheriff’s Department officials say Lybie Miller later passed away from her injuries.

Bushong and her passenger, 17 month old Ryle Bushong, were both taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Assisting Deputies at the scene were the Topeka Marshal’s Office, the Topeka Fire Department, the Wolcottville Police Department, Parkview EMS and Samaritan Air Care.
