(THREE RIVERS) -Three Rivers area residents have selected who they want on their City Commission and Board of Education.

During Tuesday’s General Election, voters re-elected Carolyn McNary to be the Fourth District City Commissioner. The incumbent ran unopposed and received 1,369 votes.

In the election for the two year At Large seat on the Commission, Lucas Allen defeated write in candidate Danielle Moreland 1,128 to 252. Moreland was a write in candidate after a petition technically kept her from being officially listed on the ballot.

Allen is taking the seat of Torrey Brown who did not seek re-election to the City Commission.

There were no candidates listed on the ballot for the Second District seat on the Three Rivers City Commission. The position will be appointed by the Commissioners in the near future. Alison Haigh, who served as the Second District Commissioner did not seek another term.

Two incumbents were re-elected to four year terms on the Three Rivers School Board. Linda Baker received 3,636 votes while Erin Nowak got 3,189 votes. The other four year seat on the Board of Education was won by Ross Daniels who had 3,136 votes cast for him.

There was also a partial term seat on the Three Rivers Board of Education, that ends in 2024. Both candidates were write ins, Anne Riopel and Jack Coleman. The St. Joseph County Board of Canvassers have started their review process and will announce a winner once they are finished.
