Oswald Happy With How Election Went

(CENTREVILLE) – It was a busy day Tuesday, but according to St. Joseph County Clerk Lindsay Oswald, it was also a smooth day at the polls.

Oswald says she heard from many of the City and Township Clerks along with the election workers about the number of high school students who volunteered Tuesday at several of the polling locations around St. Joseph County. Everyone said the students were incredibly helpful to them and the public as they came in to vote.

Voter turnout on Tuesday was 54.18 percent in St. Joseph County, with 75,224 voters coming to the polls out of the 138,846 registered voters in the County. Oswald says that number could go up in the future. ...... {LISTEN}.

The St. Joseph County Board of Canvassers have started their review of the ballots and the election process.
