(STURGIS) – Three teens were injured in a rollover accident near Sturgis High School on Franks Avenue just south of Ivanhoe Street..

Michigan State Police say at 11:30 AM Friday, a 16 year old boy crashed his vehicle, which went off the road and rolled over several times.

The driver along with an 18 year old from Sturgis who was a front seat passenger, were both flown from the scene to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. A third passenger, a 17 year old from Sturgis, was taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

Troopers say it’s not known if any of the passengers were wearing their seatbelts. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
