(QUINCY TOWNSHIP) – A four vehicle crash has sent a Jonesville woman to the hospital.

The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says at 7:05 AM Thursday, Sherry Moon of Jonesville was stopped on U.S. 12 at Briggs Road, waiting for an eastbound semi to turn into a business. Another vehicle, driven by Michael Coulter of Osseo, Michigan, was stopped behind Moon, when a pick up, driven by Cole Phish struck Coulter’s vehicle from behind.

Coulter’s vehicle hit Moon’s automobile, pushing it across the center line and into the side of the semi. All three drivers were wearing their seat belts and the airbags did activate in Moon’s vehicle.

Assisting at the scene were the Quincy Fire Rescue along with Life Care Ambulance along with workers from area businesses.
