(JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP) – Authorities say that weather and road conditions contributed to a one vehicle crash that happened over the weekend.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department received a call Sunday morning from a citizen who saw a car that was off the road. The driver, identified as 50 year old Michael Douglass II was injured and not able to get out of the automobile.

Deputies and first responders arrived and removed Douglas from his vehicle.

It was determined that Douglas was driving east on M-60 near Stone Lake Drive when he lost control of his vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.
