No Change In Sturgis City Commission Leadership

(STURGIS) – There will be no change in the leadership for the Sturgis City Commission in the upcoming year.

During Monday’s organizational meeting, the City Commission voted unanimously to have Jeff Mullins serve another term as Mayor of the City of Sturgis. The Commission then nominated Aaron Miller and Frank Perez to be the Vice Mayor. By a 5-4 vote, Miller was elected to be the Vice Mayor for a second term.

Following the meeting, Swick Broadcasting spoke with Mullins and asked him what some of the key matters would be for the Commission in the coming year. He says one stands out. ...... {LISTEN}.

The Commission also welcomed a new member during Monday’s meeting. Linda Harrington was elected as a write in candidate to serve a vacant seat as a Third Precinct Commissioner. Harrington explains why she decided to run for the seat. ...... {LISTEN}.

Harrington takes the seat previously held by Suzanne Malone, who announced she would not seek another term on the City Commission.
