(STURGIS) – A traffic stop led to the arrest of a suspect on drug charges.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle Tuesday just before 11:30 PM in the Meijer parking lot in the City of Sturgis. Deputies suspected there were drugs concealed inside the automobile and requested the Sturgis Police K-9 officer respond to the scene.

Sturgis Officer Edgington and his K-9 partner Odin arrived and indicated there were narcotics in the vehicle. A search located methamphetamine inside the automobile.

A 51 year old woman was arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
