(STURGIS) – Wednesday marked four years since a St. Joseph County woman disappeared.

Brittany Wallace Shank was last seen on November 30, 2018. According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, the then 23 year old had been in a minor car wreck in the 33,000 block of Fawn River Road near Workman Road in Fawn River Township at 9:41 PM. She had left her grandmother's house after doing laundry and her car went off the road.

Then St. Joseph County Sheriff Brad Balk says their investigation determined that Shank knocked on two doors because she had bad cell service. The residents of the second home let her use their phone to call 911. They told deputies that Shank was bloodied, and was not wearing a coat or socks. That was the last time Shank was seen.

Law enforcement authorities along with family and friends have searched the area several times, hoping to find clues as to what happened to Brittany, but so far have not been successful.

Brittany is 5 feet 1 inch tall, 110 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was seen earlier in the day with a white man between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches, who had short blonde hair with mutton chop type sideburns. He appeared to be in his early to mid 20's.

If anyone has information on Brittany, they are asked to call the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department at 269-467-9045.
