(STURGIS) - Over 100 Sturgis youngsters were treated to an early Christmas celebration Tuesday evening at The Sturges-Young Center for the Arts.

The Sturgis Kiwanis Club and Sturgis Elks teamed up once again for their annual Holiday Boots and Shoes event. Natalie Boland of the Sturgis Elks says many groups help make the evening a success. ...... {LISTEN}.

Each child received a new pair of boots, gloves, stocking cap, socks, winter coat, dinner, and a visit with Santa Claus who surprised each with a wrapped Christmas present.

The Sturgis High School Key Club also volunteered at Boots and Shoes, making sure the kids got everything they were supposed to.
