(CASS COUNTY) – Three people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Cass County.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says just after 9:30 Thursday morning, an 87 year old Niles woman was driving on Reum Street and failed to yield at the intersection of U.S. 12. She pulled out in front of an SMCAS Ambulance and the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the ambulance and the patient were taken to Lakeland Niles Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The 87 year old driver was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital where she received aid for her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
