Hillsdale Man Arrested In Bronson Following Drive By Shooting

(HILLSDALE) – A Hillsdale man was arrested in Bronson following a drive by shooting.

Michigan State Police says troopers with the Jackson Post were contacted at 9:40 PM Wednesday about a drive by shooting that happened in Hillsdale County. The investigation determined a 24 year old Hillsdale man was driving on Osseo Road near Beecher Road when the incident happened.

The victim says a man in another vehicle shot at him several times. One of the bullets went through the driver’s side door and struck the victim in both legs. The victim is listed in critical by stable condition at Hillsdale Hospital.

Troopers were able to find the suspect, a 30 year old Hillsdale man, at a Bronson residence, where he was arrested without incident.

Assisting Troopers at the initial scene of the shooting were the Hudson Fire and EMS and the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team. No motive has been given for the shooting, which is still under investigation.
