Mike Hughes To Assist In City Manager Transition

(STURGIS) – Even though he is officially resigning as Sturgis City Manager on January 20, Mike Hughes will still be helping out the City for awhile.

During their December 19 meeting, the City Commission approved a management transition consulting agreement with Hughes, who explains what he will be doing. ...... {LISTEN}.

As part of the agreement, Hughes will be considered a consultant and an independent contractor with the City. He will be asked to advise on projects, initiatives and other administrative and operational matters, along with assisting the new City Manager. The length of the contract will be from January 21 through July 21, 2023.

Hughes will be paid $6,351.71 a month during that life of the contract.
