(BRONSON) – A new City Clerk-Treasurer has been hired by the City of Bronson.

The City has announced they have hired Tricia Rzepka to be the next Bronson City Clerk-Treasurer. She has served in the same role with the Village of Quincy for the last 12 years.

Karen Smith, who has been the Bronson Clerk-Treasurer since 1983, announced earlier this year that she would be retiring.

The position of Treasurer is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions for the City of Bronson; along with collecting taxes and maintaining financial records for the City Council. The Clerk’s job is to be officially responsible for City records, keeping the minutes for City Council meetings and administering elections.

Rzepka will start her new position with Bronson on May 8.
