(FAWN RIVER TOWNSHIP) – Drug and weapon charges have been filed against a woman following a traffic stop.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle just after 11 PM Monday at the intersection of Fawn River Road and Lakeview Avenue. During the stop, deputies called for assistance from the Sturgis Police K-9 Unit.

K-9 Officer Odin and his partner arrived and as they searched the vehicle, they discovered the presence of narcotics. A 30 year old Sturgis woman was arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
