(UNDATED) – Michigan State Police with the Paw Paw Post are investigating a “Living Jane Doe” case.

Troopers say they were contacted by a hiker in the Al Sabo Lake Preserve in Texas Township at 6 PM Thursday, who found an adult woman. She was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for medical care and evaluation.

For reasons still unknown, authorities have not been able to effectively communicate with this person. Numerous law enforcement and other state resources have also been deployed to help with identification, but all attempts have failed.

She is described as a black female, possibly in her 20’s, 5 feet 2 inches all and weighing 155 pounds. She was carrying a garbage bag of clothing and had no identification.

Troopers are asking the public for any assistance with helping them identify this woman and locate her family or caregiver. If you or anyone you know recognizes this individual or know her family or caregiver, please contact the Michigan State Police Post in Paw Paw by calling 269-657-5551.
