Lakeland Has Eight Valedictorians For Class Of 2023

(LAGRANGE) – It’s a first for Lakeland High School.
In a media release, Lakeland has announced that they will have eight valedictorians for the Class of 2023. This year’s valedictorians are Ezekiel Wachtman, Hope Henderson, Raul Ballines, Reaghan Johnson, Manisha Ramachandran, Alivia Rasler, Owen Norton and Brooke Retterbush.
Since 2007, Lakeland has given out the designation of valedictorian for the students who are within a tenth of a point of the highest GPA in the class. This year, the highest GPA in the Class of 2023 belongs to Retterbush, with the other students meeting the tenth of a point criteria.
Prior to the Class of 2023, the most valedictorians Lakeland had in a graduating class was five.
During their career at Lakeland, this group of students earned 114 college credits as well as maintaining high academic standards in the most rigorous classes.
