(CONSTANTINE) – The Constantine Township Library recently made some updates to the technology in their Michigan Room.

Library Director Janice Jones says thanks to a grant from the Constantine Area Community Foundation, they were able to get the work done. In addition to storing an extensive collection of local history resources, the Michigan Room is used as a public meeting space by the community.

Jones say with the grant from the Foundation, the library has added a 56 inch smart TV along with a new audio/video conferencing system. They also removed the old DVD player and put in a new Blu-ray disc player.

Jones says this new technology has paid dividends to the library as they have been able to host an author visit via Zoom along with holding a staff training day. She says members of the community have also been able to use the virtual meeting capabilities for both personal and business reasons.
