Two People Severely Injured In Branch County Crash

(CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP) – Two people received severe injuries in a two vehicle crash over the weekend.

Michigan State Police were called to East Southern Road and Kelley Road in Branch County’s California Township just after 12:30 AM Saturday. The situation was a crash between a vehicle and an Amish buggy. The Fremont Fire Department was called to the scene along with Life Care Ambulance.

Authorities say an adult man was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with a broken leg. An adult woman was also taken to Parkview Regional by Samaritan Helicopter, suffering from back and head injuries.

Three other individuals were take to Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola by Steuben County EMS to be treated for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
