(BRONSON) – The search will begin for the next principal at Bronson’s Ryan Elementary School once the 2022-2023 school year is finished.

Kristen Frisbie stepped down as Principal of Ryan Elementary officially on April 14 to pursue other options. She started in the position in June 2020, and came to Bronson with 25 years of education experience. Frisbie served as a teacher in the Three Rivers Schools for 18 years. She then was a Principal in the Mendon School District for 4 years before taking the position of Curriculum and Instructional Consultant in the Constantine Public Schools for 3 years.

There has been some concerns raised recently by parents of students at Ryan Elementary. According to the minutes of the March 6 Bronson Board of Education meeting, Mrs. Brittany Wisman commented about bullying and discipline at the school. Mrs. Rhonda Good also spoke about those issues along with safety at Ryan.

In the Bronson School’s April 2023 newsletter, Superintendent Steve Wilson shared that for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year, he and Kate Wall, who serves as Curriculum Coordinator and the Director of Grants will serve as building principals along with their regular roles.

The Bronson Board of Education is expected to formally accept Frisbie’s resignation during their meeting on May 15.
