(STURGIS) - The Sturgis Kiwanis Club is proud to announce its annual scholarship winners for the Sturgis High School class of 2023.
Receiving $1,500 scholarships are: Charissa Diersing who will be attending Oklahoma Wesleyan University; Claire Holtz and Ashley Summer who will both be going to the University of Michigan; and Emily Perez Bucio, who will be attending Michigan State University.
In addition, the Sturgis Kiwanis Club awarded two $1,000 Glen Oaks Community College scholarships to Victoria Blaker and Miriam Delgado Hernandez.
The scholarship winners were honored at the Kiwanis luncheon where they received a certificate of merit, and their scholarship check. A brief biography of each of the student’s achievements was also read to the club.
The Sturgis Kiwanis Club meets at noon each Wednesday at the Sturges-Young Auditorium. The Kiwanis Club’s largest fund-raising activity is the annual Kiwanis Fine Foods booth at the St. Joseph County Grange Fair.
