(PARK TOWNSHIP) – Alcohol was a factor in a one vehicle crash in Park Township.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department was called to the area of Silver Street and Michigan Avenue just before 11 PM Sunday for a one vehicle crash. Deputies arrived and determined that a vehicle, driven by a Marcellus woman, was heading south on Silver Street before it left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Power was knocked out to several residents in the area.

The woman and her six passengers were all treated at the scene. The driver was arrested on pending charges of operating while intoxicated and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.

Deputies were assisted by the Fabius-Park Fire Department, the Three Rivers Fire Department and the Three Rivers Ambulance.
