(ALBION) – The Noble County Sheriff’s Office has identified an individual in a weekend drowning incident.

Detective Lieutenant Shawn Dunafin of the Sheriff’s Office says on September 22 at approximately 9:30 AM, a 911 call was received about a possible deceased person in a private pond in the 2600 block of South Lima Road.

Personnel from the Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division responded and located an individual. The body was taken to the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center for autopsy.

The individual has been identified as 25 year old Allen Wayne Wilcox of Kendallville. His cause and manner of death are still pending and the investigation continues.
