(SHIPSHEWANA) – There’s a vacancy on the Shipshewana Town Council.
Shipshewana Clerk-Treasurer Tad Hite says at the September 28 meeting, District 2 Representative Joshua Weimer announced he was resigning his position. He is moving out of the Corporation’s limits and is no longer eligible to represent District 2.
Weimer was in his second term on the Town Council and had been in the position since 2018.
Hite says if you live in District 2 and have a passion for community involvement, to please submit your name for the open seat.
You can fill out a form on line to be considered for the open seat. Click Here. Or you can contact Terry Martin at the Shipshewana Town Hall.
Interested individuals are asked to be at the October 12 Shipshewana Town Council meeting to introduce yourself, share your ideas and take your first step toward being a member of the Town Council.
