CHA And CTA Partnering To Bring Awareness To Campaign 10/10/2023 stiles (THREE RIVERS) – Two area organizations are working together to spotlight an important program. The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is partnering with the St. Joseph County Transportation Authority to raise awareness about the agency’s “Lock It Up” campaign. The CHA has been providing education and outreach to increase community awareness about the “Lock It Up” Campaign since 2018. Working collaboratively with local dispensaries, medical facilities, and other interested partners, the campaign has provided educational materials, promotional items, and lockable bags to these organizations. The goal of the campaign is to reduce the potential harm that children and adolescents are facing regarding exposure to medical and recreational marijuana in the home. Alex Bergmooser, the Health Education and Promotion Supervisor with the CHA says it’s hoped this partnership will spread the message of the Lock It Up Campaign in St. Joseph County. He says one of the CTA vehicles will have the Lock It Up Messaging displayed on the side. CTA Executive Director Allen Balog says this is the first time in 22 years an advertising or promotional message will be on a CTA vehicle. He says it’s the shared goal of the two organizations to reduce the harm of medical and recreational marijuana for St. Joseph County residents.
