Davis Comments On Situation In Prosecutor’s Office

(CENTREVILLE) – A former member of the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has commented on the staffing situation.
Last week, during their Executive Committee meeting, the St. Joseph County Commission heard from St. Joseph County Prosecutor David Marvin that there are currently two prosecutors in the office and a third will start in March. Marvin told the Commissioners that this problem goes back several years and he is working with County leadership to find a solution.
Tuesday during the Commission’s regular meeting, former Assistant Prosecutor Debbie Davis says the problem in the office is because of the man leading the department. ...... {LISTEN}.
Davis says the Prosecutor’s Office needs a leader that isn’t afraid to ask for help. ...... {LISTEN}.
Davis told the Commission she disputes why she was terminated from the Prosecutor’s Office and that she is running to be Prosecutor.
Davis was fired by Marvin after his investigation alleges she lied or made misleading statements to a judge at least eight times.
