(QUINCY) – Residents in the Quincy School District will have the chance to vote on a millage renewal this summer.
Monday night, the Quincy School Board of Education approved a resolution to bring a five year millage renewal to the voters during the August 6 primary election.
The proposal is asking to renew a five year millage at a rate of 18.3065 mills. The money raised by the millage is required by the Quincy Schools to receive the per pupil foundation allowance from the State of Michigan. The current millage is set to end with the 2024 tax levy.
If approved the millage would bring in $1.5 million in the first year for Quincy Schools.
