Two People Injured In Two Vehicle Crash

(HOWARD TOWNSHIP) – Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called out at 12:20 PM Friday in investigate a personal injury crash in Howard Township. Deputies say 61 year old David Culp of Niles was driving southeast on Beebe Road and was struck by a vehicle driven by 74 year old Anthony Lauricella of Niles, who failed to yield when turning from Leet Road onto Beebe Road and caused the crash.

Culp was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Lauricella was transported to Lakeland Niles Hospital to be treated for injuries.

Both men were wearing their seatbelts. Assisting at the scene were the Michigan State Police, the Howard Township Fire Department and the SMCAS Ambulance Service.
