Tom Miles Named 2024 Liberty Bell Award Winner

(CENTREVILLE) - The St. Joseph County Bar Association has announced the Tom Miles has been named the winner of the 2024 Liberty Bell Award.

Miles is the Executive Director of the Twin County Community Probation Center, and was selected for his many years of service to the citizens of St. Joseph and Cass Counties.

Miles is a graduate of Three Rivers High School. He attended Glen Oaks Community College and then graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Behavioral Psychology. He joined the Twin County Probation Center staff as a Program Manager.

He left the center for a short time to start his own business doing drug and alcohol testing. He returned to the center at the urging of previous Executive Director Harry Eberhard to help implement the Center’s Work Release Program in conjunction with the Day Reporting Center.

Miles became the Center’s Executive Director in 2010.

Miles will be presented with the Liberty Bell Award during a Law Day Ceremony on Mary 1 at 9 AM. It will be held in the St. Joseph County Circuit Court Room in Centreville.
