Suspect Arrested On Drug And Stolen Vehicle Charges

(THREE RIVERS) – A man is facing multiple charges after being arrested in Three Rivers.

In a media release, the Three Rivers Police say they received an alert of a stolen vehicle that went by an Automated License Plate Reader just after 9:30 PM Monday. Officers found the vehicle parked outside of a business in the 200 block of U.S. 131 and determined it was stolen from Elkhart County.

Officers found the driver, and discovered he had a warrant out of Centreville for motor vehicle theft, and he was on parole from the Michigan Department of Corrections.

While searching the vehicle, officers discovered approximately 13 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

The man is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail for possession of meth along with receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle.
