Ribbon Cutting Held For Sturgis Splash Pad

(STURGIS) – After several years, the Sturgis Splash Pad is finally open to the public.

A ribbon cutting was held Thursday afternoon at the Splash Pad, which is located between Thurston Woods Park and the Doyle Community Center on North Franks Avenue.

Sturgis City Manager Andrew Kuk shared with the audience that this project was a long time in coming. ...... {LISTEN}.

Kuk says there was a lot of discussion that went into the planning for the Splash Pad and discussion on where it should be, the design and how they would raise money to build it. .

Kuk thanked former Sturgis Manager Mike Hughes for getting the project started and doing the majority of the work to get it completed. He also thanked all of the City departments that had a hand in getting the Splash Pad finished, and the countless volunteers, along with everyone who contributed financially.
