Three Rivers Woman Facing Multiple Charges

(THREE RIVERS) – A Three Rivers woman is facing multiple charges following a search of a hotel.

The Southwest Enforcement Team executed a search warrant June 13 at the Spartan Motel in Three Rivers. Officers found a quantity of crystal meth, and recovered a stolen .40 caliber pistol.

A 24 year old Three Rivers woman along with a guest of the room, were arrested and lodged in the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of possession of meth, receiving and concealing a stolen firearm and possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony.

St. Joseph County Prosecutor David Marvin is reviewing the case and additional charges may be authorized for other individuals associated with this investigation.

Marvin is also reviewing another case from an arrest on June 6.

On that date, the SWET Detectives and the Michigan State Police stopped a vehicle in Lockport Township after observing multiple traffic violations. The auto was searched after an MSP K-9 officer alerted to possible illegal contraband.

During their search, officers located 15 grams of suspected crystal meth.

A passenger in the vehicle, 27 year old Marquevion Peake of Kalamazoo, was arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on a charge of possession with intent to deliver meth.

The driver, a 20 year old Kalamazoo resident, was questioned and released.
